Pi Day is celebrated around the world on March 14th (3.14).
Pi Day is not just for math geeks anymore... it is now PIE Day for foodies, runners, and walkers!
Plan to join us on Sunday, March 17, 2024 for the Pie Day Pi K 3.14 Kilometer (1.95 mile) race at C.M. Herndon Park in Durham. This will be a mass-start race at 9 AM.

Our Pie Day Pi K "Equations" race shirt has been very popular and has sold out each year. The price is $19 for this quality shirt for your Equations collection. This year's design is olive long-sleeve shirt. See the proof below. The race bib will have the "Equations" design.
Pie Day Pi K is part of the 2024 Triangle Race Series.

- Advanced Check-In: Saturday 3/16 3-6:00 pm at Fleet Feet 6807 Fayetteville Rd in Durham
- Race Day Check-In will be open from 8-9 AM.
Race start at 9 AM.
About our pies
Runners each receive freshly-baked crostada (personal pie) freshly baked by Durham's own James Beard Pastry Chef Award nominee, Phoebe Lawless. Choose from apple or chocolate sea salt
Registration prices:
- $27 through 12/31
- $31 from 1/1 until 2/29
- $36 from 3/1-3/17
- Add the long-sleeved "Equations" shirt for $19. Last day for guaranteed shirt is 3/1. Some sizes may be available for purchase for a limited time after that while quantities last. (You will see when you register how many shirts are still available in each size and when a size is sold out.)
Race Timing & finish line photos:
Pi Day Pi KRace timing is please to offer race timing & results by Precision Race.
At check-in you will receive your Pie Day Pi K race bib. The bib has a pull-tag you will use for your post-race personal pie. On the back of the bib is a foam strip. This is your disposable timing chip. Please do not fold or remove this chip.
Runners can receive your results in these ways:
- Results Text Message: If you requested a text when you pre-registered, a text with your time will be sent as you finish.
- LIVE results online HERE
- Live results in the free ItsYourRace Mobile App.
Triangle Race Series: The Pie Day Pi K is part of the 2024 Triangle Race Series. Earn Series points by completing the Pi K Race. CLICK HERE for Series details.
Photos: After the race your finish line photos will be available with your race results online and in the ItsYourRace mobile app. Download and/or share your favorite photo(s) on social media for FREE!
Virtual Race
For those who cannot attend in person we have a Virtual Race option. You have until the end of March to complete your Virtual Pi K run and enter your times online.
Virtual runners may use the ItsYourRace mobile app to track and time your virtual race. The app will notify you when you have completed the race distance and prompt you to upload your time (and optional photo) to the online race results. You may also manually enter your time in the virtual race results by clicking Update Time next to your name and entering your time.
